With the multifaceted growth of global trade, the movement of containers between trade points has increased dramatically of late. The same number of empty containers needs to be moved between these trade points to meet demand.
Containers are used to transport different types of goods based on temperature requirements such as dry, refrigerated or frozen.
Ports, government regulators and importers/exporters require all FCL (full container load) and LCL (less than container load) containers to be sealed during transit.
Once the cargo is loaded, the container RFID Cable tag is used to secure the container door. In some cases, empty containers are locked and sealed before being sent for filling. This is done to prevent tampering and to keep containers clean or at a set temperature, such as those used to hold certain high value products, highly perishable food or pharmaceuticals.
These containers change hands at several points in time from the moment they leave the storage location. For example, stuffed cargo is shipped to the port where it is scheduled to sail. It then hands over the transport ship it sets sail for its destination. Then it may stop at the transshipment port. At the final destination, it is unloaded and shipped to the recipient's address or warehouse.
Therefore, it is important that the cargo remains safe during its transit until it reaches the final point of unloading, i.e. the consignee or the consignee's warehouse.
While security measures such as CCTV surveillance of warehouses, container yards and even ships help deter those indulging in criminal activity, the danger posed by smugglers, counterfeiters, human traffickers, drug dealers or terrorist exploitation remains great.

After the goods arrive at the destination, the tag information is read through the RFID Reader to help customers determine whether the goods have been stolen or replaced, and confirm the integrity and safety of the goods.
