10th IEEE International Conference on RFID

The 10th edition of the International Conference on RFID – Technology and Applications (IEEE RFID-TA 2019) will be held in Pisa, Italy, on September 25-27, 2019.

The IEEE RFID-TA is the IEEE’s premier conference on the RFID (Radio Frequency Identification) technologies and applications, and it is sponsored by the IEEE Council on RFID.

The IEEE RFID-TA conference aims to attract researchers and experts from both academia and industry who are interested in developing advanced automatic identification systems based on radio waves. RFID technology is a well-recognized key enabling technology for IoT, Smart City and Industry 4.0 paradigms, as modern tags can profitably combine the basic wireless identification feature with a number of novel features including indoor localization, passive sensing, anti-counterfeiting and electronic article surveillance, among others. The objective of the conference is to create a forum for engineers and scientists who are involved in different fields of the RFID world: electronics design, antennas and propagation aspects, algorithms and protocols, RFID-based applications, wireless power transfer techniques for passive tags, backscattering-based communications, international RFID standardization, future RFID at microwave and mm-wave frequency bands, near-field RFID systems, item-level tagging.
